In an incident previously not tracked by Airwars, the Coalition later confirmed the death of one civilian near Raqqa.

In its February 2019 report, the Coalition noted the following: “the Coalition engaged ISIS fighters and an unmanned aerial vehicle launch site. Regrettably, one civilian was unintentionally killed due to their proximity to the launch site location.”

It was later clarified to Airwars that this incident of civilian harm was found during the assessment of Airwars allegation CS1165 and had not been previously reported to them.

The Coalition provided Airwars with the location of this incident, accurate to within a 100 metre box.

Regrettably, one civilian on foot was unintentionally killed due to their proximity to the blast. That same day in Raqqa, Syria the Coalition engaged ISIS fighters and an unmanned aerial vehicle launch site. Regrettably, one civilian was unintentionally killed due to their proximity to the launch site location.
