Seven civilians died in air or artillery or mortar shelling of Raqqa, according to local media – though it was unclear who was responsible for their deaths.
However, Hasaka Rasd also reported that mortars fell on Raqqa neighbourhoods on this day, meaning that these deaths may have been caused by SDF actions, for although Airwars understands that only the Coalition has access to artillery in Raqqa, the SDF are reportedly using mortars.

U.S.-led Coalition Strike Report
For July 26th-27th, the Coalition reported: “Near Raqqah, 12 strikes engaged eight ISIS tactical units and destroyed five vehicles, four fighting positions, three supply caches, a command and control node and an ISIS communications facility.” It additionally reported that “On July 26, near Raqqah, Syria, 18 strikes engaged 12 ISIS tactical units; destroyed eight fighting positions, two command and control nodes, an IED facility, a supply cache, and a logistics node; and suppressed an ISIS tactical unit.” And that “On July 26, near Raqqah, Syria, one strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and suppressed eight fighting positions.”
French Military Strike Report
19 strikes were made by French aircraft in Iraq and Syria in the last week. Most of them were carried out in the battles of Mosul and Raqqah. These strikes were aimed at groups of Daech fighters. The other strikes were carried out in Syria and targeted regrouping and refueling areas used by jihadi fighters. Task Force Wagram carried out 16 artillery strikes in Mosul.
