Local media reported that one male civilian died in an alleged Coalition airstrike on the municipal stadium area of Al Mala’ab Al Baladi in Raqqa.
According to FSA Raqqa Sport, the victim was “a body building champion”.
In February 2019, the Coalition assessed this event to be non-credible. Their report noted: ” After review of all available strike records it was determined that more likely than not civilian casualties did not occur as a result of a Coalition strike.”

For September 22nd-23rd, the Coalition reported: “Near Raqqah, 39 strikes engaged three ISIS tactical units and destroyed 41 fighting positions, a command and control node, a supply route and suppressed two fighting positions.”
