Local media reported civilian casualties in the town of Markadah and nearby al Husain village following alleged US-led Coalition strikes.

News of civilian deaths came amidst reports of conflict in the area over the past 48 hours.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented violent clashes between the so-called Islamic State organisation and the US-backed SDF in the area of Jabal al-Maza west of Markadah. The SDF reportedly made advancement in the area resulting in human losses in the ranks of both factions.

Sharqiya Voice documented several raids carried out by the US-led Coalition and reports of civilian casualties; the source SMC alleged that Coalition aircraft destroyed Alawi Aziz al-Ja’atah’s house and other houses but this could not be confirmed at the moment since the village was evacuated for more than ten days.
