One civilian died and several more were wounded in an airstrike on al Soussa, according to local media.

One victim was named locallly as Saleh Ibrahim Mohsen Al-Faris. Deir Ezzor 24 blamed the Coalition for his death, though other sources didn’t identify the culprit.

According to Al Sharq al Souri, shells landed on the victim’s home: “A number of shells landed on the town of Al-Sousse, where they focused on the house of Ibrahim al-Mohsen al-Faris, killing a civilian.”It also said that women were among the injured.

Sound and Picture and Saout al Sharqiya reported that the Coalition carried out strikes on al Soussa, but made no mention of civilian casualties.

For January 13th 2018 the Coalition reported that “On Jan. 13 in Syria, Coalition military forces conducted 13 strikes consisting of 24 engagements against ISIS targets. Near Abu Kamal, 13 strikes engaged nine ISIS tactical units and destroyed two ISIS supply routes, two ISIS motorcycles, two weapons caches, four fighting positions, a VBIED factory and an ISIS logistics center.”
