Airwars assessment
Fouad al Waisi, his wife and his daughter were all reported killed in a daytime Coalition strike near Manbij, in the village of al A’rima. The Coalition later reported that three civilians had been injured in the incident, without mentioning any civilians killed.
On March 10, 2022 in the CJTF-OIR Civilian Casualty Report, the Coalition deemed this incident credible and assessed that “Coalition aircraft conducted a strike on ISIS terrorists in a building. Regrettably, three civilians were unintentionally wounded due to their proximity to the strike.”
According to Step News and others the town was still under ISIL control – with the afternoon strike hitting a family home.
The local time of the incident is unknown.

Reports of the incident mention the town of Al `A’rīma (العريمة), for which the generic coordinates are: 36.4718911, 37.7218151. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
