Airwars assessment

One to two civilians were reported killed in a Coalition strike on the al Hussian area of the al Bukamal desert.

One young male civilian victim was named as Ahmad Fahid Hamoud (or al Kijja/ Kajia). Syria 2011 named Mohammad Fahid as killed – who may or may not be the same person. Only Euphrates Post reported two fatalities.

The declassified documents were obtained by Azmat Khan and the New York Times through Freedom of Information requests and lawsuits filed since March 2017, and are included alongside the corresponding press release published by the Pentagon.
