On 28 February 2026, as many as nine people were injured by multiple alleged Iranian missile strikes in the town of Bnei Brak, Israel. No sources reported deaths resulting from the attacks. The names of the victims were not found among local sources.
Regarding the number of casualties and type of projectile responsible, sources vary slightly.
On the afternoon of February 28, Twitter/X-user @MagicFlower22 shared a video of a projectile hitting a residential neighborhood and causing an explosion with the caption “Fall in Bnei Brak on Saturday near the Hemedat Shimon Synagogue. No casualties.” @MischkaBudnik indicated on Twitter/X that the attack resulted in nine minor injuries while @ShaykhSulaiman posted that one person, a 17-year old boy, had been “lightly injured by shrapnel.”
The Hemedat Shimon Synagogue (בית הכנסת חמדת שמעון) was just down the street from the impact site recorded in the video shared by MagicFlower22 and geolocated by Airwars. As the video’s caption included the clause “no casualties”, the minimum number of civilians reportedly injured in this incident is zero, and the maximum is nine. This will be updated should additional information become available.
Twitter/X user @Soubhi_Jarrah described the attack as a “direct missile impact.” However, according to VINnews, “a large piece of shrapnel struck a residential building in Bnei Brak on Saturday afternoon…around 4:35 p.m. on Donolo Street, causing extensive damage to two apartments belonging to the Gumbo and Luria families.
A video posted by Twitter/X user @danielamram3 shows a crowd gathered in front of an apartment building, including emergency services workers from Magen David Adom. Debris can be seen on the ground in front of the building. Another video, posted by @Sophiesophx67, shows several missiles in flight at nighttime over Bnei Brak. @ThetiMapping claimed that during this attack, a missile was intercepted over Bnei Brak.
An image posted by @ammaressam0 shows a crowd, and an emergency services worker, gathered in front of the building, with debris visible on the ground. The account of news service Al-Mayadeen English posted footage on X showing the damaged interior of an apartment in the building.
Twitter/X account @Fabi_isr posted a clip from Israel’s Channel 13 showing a burning building, fire trucks parked outside, and emergency services workers at the site.
In terms of source attribution, where sources referred to a belligerent, all described the strikes as being carried out by the Iranian military.

Reports of the incident mention strikes at multiple locations. Analysing audio-visual material from sources, we have narrowed down the following location to these exact coordinates: Rav Amram Ga’on Street at 32.070723, 34.838728. The generic coordinates for the other locations are: Donolo Street at 32.087398, 34.834704; and Bnei Brak (בְּנֵי בְּרַק) at 32.088123, 34.836065. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the locations further.
