During the morning of 31 March 2026, one person was reported killed and eight others wounded by an alleged Israeli and/or American airstrike on a “civilian contracting company in the thermal system project” in Qasr-Shirin city, Iran. Rescue teams were reportedly dispatched and those injured taken to hospitals for treatment. The name of the victims were not found among sources.
The attack was reported to have “destroyed the administrative, technical, and equipment buildings of a contracting company active in the ‘tropical system project.'” Sources emphasised that the project “has directly covered more than 24,000 hectares of the county’s dryland lands under the irrigation network” and thus “plays a key role in increasing farmers’ productivity, improving the economic situation of the people, ensuring border security, and stabilising the population in the border area.”
All sources who mentioned a belligerent pointed to Israel and the United States.
