Our forces, with support from the International Coalition, conducted a security operation against ISIS in the Hasakah countryside and arrested a terrorist. Today, Tuesday, the Transit Operations Teams (TOLs) of our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with support from the International Coalition, carried out a security operation targeting an ISIS terrorist cell in the town of al-Tuwaynah, near the city of Hasakah. The operation followed the completion of our forces' intelligence gathering regarding the movements of the terrorist Abdullah Khader Nasser al-Faroukh. They were able to locate his hideout and arrest him. Three mobile phones, personal documents, and identification papers were seized from the arrested terrorist. Our forces affirm that despite their engagement in repelling attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, they remain committed to pursuing ISIS terrorist cells. SDF Militia Arrests Orphaned Teenager North of Hasakah and Accuses Him of Terrorism #ZamanAlWasl The SDF militia arrested an orphaned teenager, Abdullah Khader Nasser Al-Faroukh, on Tuesday from his grandfather's house in the village of Al-Tuwaina, north of Hasakah, without any legal justification. According to witnesses from the area, the armed force raided the family's home and arrested the child during a search after finding a comment on his phone on social media, in which he called for the Syrian state to come to his city. They considered this sufficient evidence to accuse him of belonging to ISIS. The militia confiscated his phone, along with those of his grandparents. It is worth noting that Abdullah was only five years old when ISIS controlled Hasakah, making the accusations against him absurd and illogical. Al-Faroukh family Al-Hasakah, Syria Statement from the Al-Farroukh Family Condemning the Arrest of Their Son Abdullah Khodr Al-Farroukh and Appealing to Human Rights Organizations for Intervention Issued on: Wednesday, March 26, 2025 The Al-Farroukh family strongly condemns the arrest of their young son, Abdullah Khodr Al-Farroukh, who is sixteen years old, by the “PYD” militia. The arrest occurred after the militia raided the home of his grandfather, Mr. Nasser Ahmed Al-Farroukh, in the village of Al-Tuwina, north of Al-Hasakah, yesterday, Tuesday, March 25, 2025. We affirm that the baseless accusations leveled against our son by the militia, alleging affiliation with ISIS, are completely unfounded and mere fabrications intended only to justify this arbitrary arrest. We also clarify that the real reason behind Abdullah's arrest is the exercise of his right to freedom of expression through a comment he posted on Facebook expressing his support for the Syrian state, a right guaranteed by international law and human rights. The militia's presentation of a photo of our blindfolded son, alongside mobile phones and a home router confiscated from his grandfather's house, claiming they were equipment used for "terrorist" purposes, is clear evidence of the fabrication of charges and the deliberate distortion of facts. We emphasize that the confiscated phones belong to Abdullah, his grandfather, and his grandmother, and there is no evidence of their use in any illegal activities. We share the deep concern of the people of the region regarding the "PYD" militia's continued fabrication of charges against civilians and violation of the rights of the Arab tribes in areas under its control, disregarding the agreements concluded with the Syrian state. It appears that this militia seeks, through these practices, to create a state of uncertainty and intimidate the population. Therefore, we, the Al-Farroukh family, declare the following: 1-Our strong condemnation of this arbitrary and unlawful arrest of our minor son, Abdullah Khodr Al-Farroukh. 2-Our immediate demand for the unconditional release of our son Abdullah and his safe return to his family and the continuation of his education. 3-Our appeal to all local and international human rights organizations for urgent intervention and pressure on the “PYD” militia to cease these violations and release our son and all those arbitrarily detained. 4- Our call upon the Syrian state and concerned authorities to fulfill their duty to protect civilians and ensure the implementation of the agreements concluded, and to intervene immediately for the release of Abdullah and all the people of the region who are subjected to such oppressive practices. We hold the "PYD" militia fully responsible for the safety of our son and demand the guarantee of his rights and his protection from any form of abuse or ill-treatment.
