A young shepherd was killed during an alleged US-led Coalition airdrop operation in the Satih area of Jabal Al-Amour, Syria during the night of November 19, 2025.
A Facebook post from Sokhna Event reported that a helicopter had landed in the Satih area of Jabal Al-Amour and “targeted” the homes of local shepherds, including Ali al-Ahmad from the Al-Kharsan clan, Aqil Musahham al-Musahham and 27-year-old Farhan Saleh al-Khaled al-Hazzaa from the Al-Hazzaa tribe, who was killed. The source described Farhan as a shepherd from the area, stating “there are no suspicious movements in the area, and it is inhabited by many Bedouin residents”.
Multiple sources including Hasan Khalil mentioned that the shepherd who was killed had fired at the helicopter belonging to the International Coalition, which had “returned fire”. A Facebook post from “Breaking news now” reported that a man named Adel had been killed while herding sheep and “Free Syrian news, moment by moment” specified that the victim had been killed instantly and that his body was taken to Palmyra National Hospital.
Selim Siles provided additional details about the operation, reporting that two helicopters carried out an airdrop operation in the Al-Satih area and stormed four houses, confiscating some of their belongings. The helicopters then landed near a flock of sheep, killed Farhan and his guard dog, with the source describing the victim as a “shepherd with no affiliations to any political or military group, nor did the owners of the raided houses”.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to the US-led Coalition.
