The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had previously reported, on November 8th, that the International Coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a joint airdrop operation on the outskirts of Raqqa city, amidst heavy helicopter and drone activity. According to Syrian Observatory activists, special units from the SDF participated in that operation, combing the area and establishing a tight security cordon around the targeted location. The operation resulted in the arrest of two ISIS cell members.
