The SDF stated in a press release, which Shafaq News obtained, that "the operation came after monitoring the movements and activities of the terrorist, Ahmed Abdul Qader al-Moussa, a resident of Tabqa. His hideout was raided, and he was arrested without any clashes." The statement explained that "the detainee oversaw the receipt and delivery of weapons and military equipment and their distribution to terrorist cells, in addition to monitoring SDF military positions." According to the statement, the forces seized a quantity of weapons and hand grenades from the terrorist during the raid, confirming the continuation of security operations against the remnants of ISIS cells.
