Airwars assessment
On Tuesday, October 28th, 2023, the Israeli military allegedly conducted an airstrike on the Al-Daqs family home in Al-Faluga, Jabalia Refugee Camp, resulting in “a number” of deaths.
Initial reports of the incident emerged around 8:29 PM local time, with @factjotv posting on Twitter/X, “Media: Targeting the Al-Daqs family home in the Al-Faluja area in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.” Shehab Agency also covered the incident on Twitter/X. On Facebook, Ahmad Asaf posted, “#Urgent | Bombing of the Al-Daqs family home in the Al-Faluja area in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.” A Facebook post from Flora Noman also mentioned that the Al-Faluja cemetary was also bombed.
While @sharafghlu was the only source to explicitly attribute this strike to the Israeli military, multiple sources referred to the strike as “targeting” the location, indicating Israeli forces. Therefore, this incident has been graded as a “likely strike.” However, as a Facebook post from Flora Noman was the only source to mention civilian harm, this incident has been graded as “weak” civilian harm. This assessment will be updated if more information emerges.
Due to the scale and urgency of Airwars’ assessment process, all images have been automatically uploaded to each assessment with the graphic filter applied to protect users. We have also included all images identified from the sources, which may also include any imagery of combatants.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
