US-led Coalition Assessment:
Civilian casualty statements
-
After a review of available information it was assessed that no Coalition strikes were conducted in the geographical area that correspond to the report of civilian casualties.
Original strike reports
The coalition reports multiple airstrikes in Syria October 17th-19th 2014 targeting ISIL oil installations, though no event precisely matches. According to Airwars’ Syrian researcher, the most likely possible match would be three bombings reported at Khusham: “Khusham is on the Euphrates SW of Hassaka. Since the strikes were NE of Khusham, and depending on how far, the actual location could well be Shadadi.”
