One civilian adult male was reported killed in a Coalition strike in a desert area of Deir Ezzor governorate, according to a single source.
A tweet by Deir Ezzor 24 reported on the “Death of Fawaz Abtisheh Farhan from the village of # Mu’ijel after an air raid of the international coalition targeted his car in the northern desert # Deir Ezzor yesterday”.
In correspondence with Airwars, Deir Ezzor 24 stated that Fawaz Abtish al Farhan, also known as Abu Muhannad, was from the town of Ma’ijal in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. “He is an adult civilian, killed in a raid by a fixed wing aircraft belonging to the international coalition. The missile targeted his car in the desert of al Sour town in northern Deir Ezzor on 25/6/2018,” the local news ervice said.
In what may be the same event, Step News Agency and Baladi News reported that “Two members of the Islamic State were killed” after their car was targeted by Coalition aircraft near Suh al Jozr in the desert of northern Deir Ezzor.
At present, Airwars researchers cannot assess whether the identified man was one of the two claimed ISIS fighters killed in the attack.
