Airwars assessment
On the night of Monday, October 30, 2023, at least 15 people were killed and a number of others injured in an alleged Israeli airstrike on the Habib family home, a four-storey building, at the Habib Junction, in the Al Zaytoun neighbourhood of Gaza City, Gaza Strip. Many of the civilians killed were women and children.
Following the alleged strike, @ShehabAgency, Alghad News, @Alaqsavoice_Brk, @alforgannet, @Snd_pal, Gaza Days and others reported that Israeli aircraft had “destroyed a four-story residential building” while the occupants were inside.
According to many sources, the alleged strike killed 15 people and resulted in “a large number of wounded.” Wafa News Agency reported on “appeals for ambulances to quickly arrive due to the presence of a large number of dead and wounded, the majority of whom were children, women, and the elderly, lying under the rubble.”
Moha.habib7, reporting the alleged incident, wrote in a post on Facebook “they were sleeping, and now they are sleeping forever…”
The names of the civilian casualties are currently unavailable.
Where sources identified the belligerent, the strike was attributed to Israeli forces.
The incident occured during the night.

Reports of the incident mention the neighbourhood of Al Zaytoun (حي الزيتون) in Gaza City (مدينة غزة), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.485479, 34.444885. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
