A house of the Juha family located on Al Barham Street in the Al Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City was allegedly hit by an Israeli airstrike shortly before 11 AM on Tuesday, 31st of October, 2023, reportedly resulting in the death of at least seven civilians, including and six children, and injuring of a number of civilians.
According to Al Mayadeen Live, the home belonged to the Juha family and was located next to the Imam Al Shafi’i Mosque in the Al Zeitoun neighbourhood in Gaza. Alkofiya TV posted that the six casualties were children who were later recovered from under the rubble of the house, but no additional information on their identities was found.
Only one victim was named publicly. 29-year-old Mustafa Ahmed Fares Juha was reportedly killed in the incident and he was mourned in social media posts by his relatives – his cousins Umm Youssef Mohammed, Abdullah Aba Islam, and Mustafa Nasser Mahmoud. Abdullah Islam shared an image of Mustafa from before the incident – a bearded man in a white shirt.
Airwars has matched the name of Mustafa Ahmed Fares Juha with the Palestinian Ministry of Health list of nearly 7000 victims’ names and ID numbers released on October 26th, 2023.
A number of people were reported to have been wounded by the alleged airstrike by different sources.
Where sources mentioned a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli forces.

Reports of the incident mention the vicinity of the Imam Al Shafi’i Mosque (مسجد الامام الشافعي) Al Zeitoun neighbourhood (حي الزيتون), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.501346, 34.457688. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
