At least four civilians, including one child, were injured in an alleged Israeli drone strike in Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, Gaza, May 16th 2021. One of the civilians was reported to be 49 year old Fayez Saad Qassem Al-Farra, who was hit by shrapnel from the missile attack and taken to a nearby hospital in a “serious condition” (@mousa_alkafarna). This strike was reported to have taken place at approximately 9.15pm.

It was later reported that Fayez Al-Farra survived the incident after an artery bypass operation to his neck, where the shrapnel had entered.

The area was reported to be used predominantly for agricultural activities, with shelling taking place around a home belonging to the Al-Farra family.
