Reports mention that the incident occurred “near Rabe’e Sooq (سوق ربيع) in the Rasil Gharbi (رسيل غربي) area of the Anah district,” in the town of Anah al Jadidah (عنه), Anbar. Airwars was unable to locate Rabe’e Sooq (سوق ربيع). However, there is a concentration of shops and markets in one part of Anah al Jadidah (عنه). Airwars assessment

According to local media, up to five civilians, including four women, were killed and several were left wounded as Russian and/or Assad-waged warplanes struck Hamouriya, eastern Ghouta, Damascus.

Enab Baladi reported how “at least five people were killed today in the town of Hamuriya, in the center of the besieged area, by an air strike that hit a shelter.”

Most reports, including the Syrian Network for Human Rights and Damascus Media Center, agreed that the strike had resulted in five fatalities; four women and one man.

Only LCCSY reported four civilian fatalties.

Step News reported, among others, that the strike also had wounded several civilians, including children.

The same media, who blamed Russia, reported that the city had been struck by cluster bombs. Meanwhile, Wesal_TV and HalabTodayTV reported that Hamouriya had been struck by missiles “loaded with internationally prohibited napalm.” Wesal_TV  blamed the Syrian regime.

Generally, reports were conflicting in terms of culpability as blame was appointed to either the Syrian regime, Russia, or both across the reports.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Five civilians died in an  airstrike on Aleppo’s Qaterji neighbourhood, according to local media. Most sources said that the civilian harm was caused by a chlorine attack from helicopters, though some other reports pointed towards Russia and cited the use of cluster bombs and rockets.

Airwars assessment

Between one and five children were killed and up to 20 were wounded – including 15 students and four teachers – following an artillery bombardment and airstrikes which struck Al Nashabiya School in Damascus, also named by another source as “Al Karma” Primary, according to local media. Most sources have either not attributed any blame or have blamed Russian warplanes for the alleged air and artillery strikes.

One source claimed that the missiles which struck the school caused huge amounts of material damage. Images published supported this claim. According to Syrian-Reporter, “The missile targeted the construction of the fourth row near the administrative guidance room, which caused great damage to the building, and led the school to being completely out of service.” Another source reported that rockets struck the area.

The doctor, “Anas”, working in the hospital, a statement to Smart News, suggested that “the unidentified aircraft, struck the Al Karma primary school in the town of Nashabiya, killing a student and wounding more than 15 other students and teachers. There are no military headquarters around the school.” The doctor also reported that “among the wounded are serious cases, which suggests the number of victims will increase.”

Video footage shows the extent of damage to the school, which was apparently struck on Sunday during school hours. Blood covers the floor and the classrooms are rendered out of use. Other photographs and video footage show seriously wounded children received medical treatment in a field hospital in the aftermath of the incident.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Up to six civilians including women and children died in alleged Russian or regime airstrikes on Tal Mnes on August 25, 2019, according to local media.

Smart reported: “Three children and two women were killed and 10 civilians were taken to nearby field hospitals as a result of the regime’s warplanes shelling residential neighborhoods in the center of tal mnes village in the southern countryside of Idlib.”

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SN4HR) put the death toll at one and named Abdul Razzaq Fawzi al Twaini as killed. It blamed the regime.

Edlib media Centre said that four civilians died.

In a later post, SN4HR said that “at least five civilians (three children and two women), most of whom are from the same family, were killed as Syrian regime fixed- wing warplanes fired missiles on Talmennes town in the southeastern suburbs of Idlib governorate, for the second time on the same day, on August 25.” Tweets from various sources, including @adlbhamam1985 and @abds02747, also identified five civilians killed.

A tweet by @Ahmad_1alshble identified civilian’s homes as being struck and a tweet by @ufuk_sy pointed to the center of the town as the location of the strikes.

A video posted by @Ahmad_1alshble shows the dust cloud following the strikes over Tal Mnes and a video posted by @anasanas84 shows a bulldozer removing the rubble from the destruction caused by the strikes.
