Airwars assessment

At least one civilian was killed and five more were wounded, reportedly from one family, in air and artillery strikes on Al Lataminah, local media reported. Sources attributed the blame to both Russia and the Syrian regime.

There were as many as two raids on the vicinity.

SCD HAMA reported that “a civilian was killed and five others, including a member of the civil defence, were injured on Saturday (March 10th) by an artillery and missile attack on the town of Al Lataminah. The Civil Defence team was subjected to direct targeting during its search and rescue after the bombardment of the city of Lataminah, causing serious injury to one of the volunteers.”

The White Helmets – who blamed “artillery shelling” said that the one fatlatity and five injured civilians were from the same family, adding that a member of the White Helmets was also wounded when a rescue vehicle was struck during the operation to evacuate civilians from the site. Other sources said that the regime was responsible for the artillery strikes.

According to the Shaam News Network, “Russian aircraft launched air strikes with cluster bombs and phosphorus on the cities of Kafr Zeita and Al Latmineh”.

@eg_nawras put the death toll at two, blaming a Russian airstrike.
