Airwars assessment

Two civilians were allegedly killed by a GNA or Turkish airstrike near Abu Al Ghurab.

The LNA media center said: “Two ambulances have been attacked, and two people inside died following a Turkish drone strike at 10 am, on Wednesday, 04/29/2020
The attack occurred in the Abu Al Ghurab area, inside the petrol station.”

Libya 24 published a statement by the GNA: “The [GNA] military media announced on Wednesday, targeting three cars carrying ammunition belonging to what it described as Haftar forces, in reference to the army, through air force raids in the Abu Al Ghurab area south of Mizda, confirming the fall of those wounded.”

Mohammed Abo al Qassem said that all of those in the car died after being wounded.

The incident occured at approximately 10:00 am local time.

One civilian was killed and at least five others, including a woman, were killed in alleged LNA artillery strikes on the Military Medical Authority headquarters on the Mitiga airport, Tripoli, on April 29th, 2020.

Field Medicine and Support Center reported that “the Military Medical Authority building was hit by indiscriminate shells, which caused the death of engineer Tariq Ahmed Abu Azoum Al Megrahi.” The FMSC also reported the names of five injured civilians, including a 49-year-old woman, adding that they received medical treatment in Al Abraj clinic. Libya Al Ahrar reported that six civilians were killed.

Tk Yahrouq Kl shy posted a video of shelling on the yard of Mitiga airport hospital.

Both Burkan Al Ghadab Operation and Libya Al Ahrar blamed the LNA for the shelling.

Up to five civilians were killed and two others injured in an alleged GNA or Turkish drone attack on a civilian truck carrying boxes of bees in the Al-Ghudwiyah area near the entrance of Ra’s at Tabal, Nasmah, Libya on April 28th, 2020. The local sources also said the two injured civilians are in critical conditions in the hospital.

Tk Yahrouq Kl shy posted that “A drone bombed a truck carrying boxes of bees in Nasmah area, leading to the death of four civilians.”

Tarhouna 24 identified the four victims as Hafez Omar Al-Sudani, Mohamed Ambeya Al-Sudani, Issam Muhammad Muhammad al-Rikabi and Mustafa Saad.

218TV raised the death toll to five saying that five civilians were killed in the attack including migrant workers, and described one of the victims Hafez Omar Al-Sudani as “director of the Nasmah municipality’s human resources department.”

Burkan Al Ghadab reported from the Libyan Army Spokesman that “The Libyan air force carried out two combat strikes earlier, targeting two trucks transporting logistical equipment and ammunition in the Nasmah area, which was on its way to supply the Haftar terrorist militia south of the capital Tripoli.”

Libya Review said the attack was done by Turkish forces on a food truck near Bani Walid.

LNA militias allegedly shelled Al Shok road in Tripoli on April 28th, 2020, according to local sources. Patients of the intensive care unit at the Royal Clinic were reportedly minorly injured in the shelling.

Tk Yahrouq Kl shy wrote that shells fell on Al Shok road and Karnifaal street, adding that the family farm of Enka Rabbi provided shelter.

Burkan Al Ghadab Operation reported that the intensive care unit of the Royal Clinic on Al Shouk road was targeted by Haftar militias, writing that “five patients were receiving treatment in the intensive care unit when the first mortar shell fell, and we thank God for the speed of evacuating them with minor injuries before unimaginable consequences happened.” Burkan Al Ghadab also posted a video of the reportedly destroyed clinic. It is unclear how many patients were injured in the artillery strikes.

Tarhouna24 also reported shelling on the medical clinic but added that there were reports of killed and wounded fighters.

A woman and her son were killed and up to three other family members were injured by alleged LNA shelling on their home in Al Sharidat area, Castelverde on April 27th, 2020, according to local sources.

February TV reported “the death of Mrs. Al Khadra Salem Al Falaghi and one of her children, and the injury of her three other children, due to the serious shelling of their house in Al Sharidat area near the dawn of today by the terrorist militia of Haftar.”

Tk Yahrouq Kl shy wrote that “a shell landed on the house of the late Muhammad Ibrahim Al Sharqawi in Al Sharidat area, which led to the death of his wife Al Khadra Salem Al Faghli and his 23-year-old son Hussein. His [other] children Arafa and Hisham were seriously injured and they are now in intensive care.” The Field Medicine & Support Center reported that Hussein Muhammad Al Sharqawi was 29 years old instead of 23.

Several sources, such as @Lyobserver reported that three family members were injured, in addition to the woman and son killed.

Burkan Al Ghadab Operation blamed Haftar militias and reported the incident occurred around dawn.
