Airwars assessment

One civilian was allegedly killed and twelve more injured by possible artillery shelling in Benghazi.

The Libya Observer reported: “One person was killed and at least 12 others, including women and children, were injured when indiscriminate rocket shells fell on a condolences tent in Bouhdima district of Benghazi.

Local sources said the shells were fired from Majouri district, in memory of one of the so-called Dignity Operation members, killed in the war on Tripoli.”

However, Libya Alahrar TV said the reason was gunfire: “A private source confirmed to the Free Libya Channel that one person was killed as a result of indiscriminate shooting at a mourning tent in Bouhdima area southeast of Benghazi.

The source added to the Free Libya channel that the incident resulted in the injury of a dozen other people were injured without giving the nature of their injuries.”

Grad missiles reportedly fired by LNA forces struck civilian neighbourhoods in Al Baaysh, Tajoura, injuring three civilians.

Libya Akbar News reported that “Local sources confirmed that missile shells landed in the Tajoura region, amid reports of civilian casualties.”

Burkan Al Ghadab said that “Indiscriminate Grad missile shells fired by the war criminal militia militia Haftar have fallen on the residential neighborhoods of Al Baaysh, Tajoura, and 3 civilians have been wounded with shrapnel.” It also published photos of the aftermath.

The Libya Observer said one of those injured was seriously hurt: “The three wounded have been admitted to hospital; one of them is in a critical condition, in addition to the severe damage caused to private property, according to the information office.”

The incident occured during the night.

One civilian was reportedly injured by LNA shelling on the Abu Salim area of Tripoli.

Libya Alahrar TV said: “A Libyan correspondent from Al Ahrar in Tripoli reported that one person was injured due to the fall of indiscriminate rockets fired by Haftar militias in the Abu Salim area on Monday morning.

The reporter added that three rockets landed on Al-Shaibani Street in the center of Abu Salim, causing material damage in three houses and ten cars in the area.”

Other sources only reported shelling and posted pictures of the destruction caused by it.

Tk Yahroug Kl said the incident took place near the Tariq Bin Ziyad Mosque. Burkan Al Ghadab said it’s a densely populated area.

Airwars assessment

Two civilians were reported killed and two others reported injured, all from the same family, in alleged LNA attack with mortars on on their home in al-Sa’adia in Tripoli, Libya on April 20th, 2020. The civilians are from the Al Miri family.

Al Wasat reported that “the Minister of Health adviser to the Al-Wefaq government, Amin al-Hashemi, announced the killing of two civilians and the wounding of others, from one family, after targeting their home today in al-Sa’adia.”

The killed civilians were named as Hamad Muhammad al-Miri (M) and his son Hussein Hamad Muhammad al-Miri also died. Hamad’s son and daughter were also reported injured. It is believed that one of the injured civilians or both of them are in a critical condition.

Souq al Khamis reported that a number of mortars fell on the family’s house in the morning of April 20th while they were visiting their house in Al Sa’adia. Libya Al Ahrar said the father died directly while his son died because of his wounds later.

LNA also known as Haftar forces were blamed for the attack.

One civilian died after his car was targeted with a missile, allegedly fired by LNA or Emirati drones, in Al Qaddahiyah on May 11th, 2020, according to local sources. Four other men were also killed, they were reportedly fighters with the militia of the Amateen martyrs.

Burkan Al Ghadab Operation wrote that “Emirates drones targeted a digger in Al Qaddahiyah, and the death of citizen Imad Al Naas Mohamed Attbiqa after the targeting of his car with a missile.”

Souq Al Khamis reported the same incident but blamed “Karama drones”, or the LNA, for the attack.

Tarhouna24 reported “an airstrike targeting a site inside a farm in the Al Qaddahiyah region, leaving four dead and a number of wounded, belonging to the militia of the Amateen martyrs affiliated to Misurata.”

Tarhouna24 later identified the names of the killed militia members as Mustafa Arefah, Firas Mansour Al Buraiki, Khurais Abdullah Muhammad and another person known by the name of Hatem from Zalla.
