According to Syrialiveuamap, helicopters dropped barrel bombs on the towns of Kafar Zeita and Latamina. Local sources attributed blame to Russia and claimed that the strikes were carried out in the evening, killing up to five civilians and wounded three others in a residential area in Al Latamina in Hama.
Smart News reported that five civilians were killed in the attack, including two women, and a child, and that three others were wounded, including another child. According to @ShahbaPress, the child who was wounded had to have his hand amputated.
Syrian Network for Human Rights stated that “at least five civilians from the same family, including a child and three women, were killed as warplanes which we believe were Russian fired missiles on al Latamena town, on July 29th.”
12 year old Mahmoud Khalil Al-Sulaiman reportedly died of the wounds sustained in the attack, joining his parents, sister and aunt who died in the same incident – according to Kafar Zeita TV.
