Between four and five civilians, including an elderly woman and a child, were injured in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on the town of Sheikh Ahmed, Aleppo countryside, on December 30th, 2019, according to local sources.
Step News Agency reported: “Today, Monday [Dec 30th], Russian warplanes launched a number of airstrikes on civilian homes in Sheikh Ahmed village, in the southern countryside of Aleppo, wounding four people, including a woman.”
The White Helmets and @ShahbaPress later reported that two women were injured.
The Smart News Agency reported that eyewitnesses told them that “the civil defence teams had treated two women, a child and a wounded youth to the city hospital of Saraqib in Idlib, as a result of the Sheikh Ahmed village, south of Aleppo city, being attacked by Russian warplanes”. The White Helmets furthermore reported major damage to civilian homes and property.
Macro Media Center reported five wounded.
All sources reported Russia as the belligerent, except for the White Helmets, who reported that the airstrikes were launched by the Syrian regime.
