Airwars assessment
Between one and nine civilians were killed – including four children – and others were wounded, in an airstrike on Douma, local media reported. Sources were conflicted as to who was to blame, with some blaming Russia and others the Syrian regime.
Two sources put the death toll as high as nine, while two reported only one death. Other sources did not report of civilian casualties.
Almost all sources reported that the missiles deployed contained the internationally illegal substance, napalm. Photographic evidence shows the sticky substance on the floor in the vicinity of the strike. Additionally, huge fires broke out in the area causing mass material damage to cars and residential homes.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
