Airwars assessment

Thirteen  civilians – including women and children – were killed in an alleged Russian airstrike in Al-Darwishiya in Jab Al-Jarrah, a village under the control of the Islamic State, on September 2nd, according the Smart News Agency.

Multiple sources indicated coordination between regime forces and the warplanes. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, “…regime forces bombarded areas in the vicinity of villages located in the Jabal al-Jarrah, Shaer, Shomariya, and the eastern Homs countryside, amid raids by warplanes on the same areas…”.

The Step News Agency noted “clashes between the state organization [ISIS} and the regime forces in the area of Huwaisis and the vicinity of Jib al-Jarrah in the eastern countryside.”

However, the Smart News Agency blamed Russia for the death of 13 civilians including an unspecified number of women and children.
