Between one and four civilians were killed and up to 10 others were wounded in an alleged regime ground-to-ground missile strike and/or a Russian airstrike on Kafr Karmin in the western suburbs of Aleppo, according to local sources.
According to Mohammad Shakrdy, “Russian warplanes targeted south of the town with four air strikes that killed two people. Additionally, there was a ground-to-ground missile strike”.
Baladi reported that “warplanes conducted four air raids around the town of Kafr Karmin in the western suburb of Aleppo, killing four civilians who were working in the stone quarry. Another 10 more civilians were seriously wounded”.
The Smart News Agency published a video featuring an interview with a member of the civil defence. According to Smart, a marble factory was destroyed. The source joined many others in blaming a regime ground-to-ground missile as well as Russian airpower.
At 0’36” in the footage, Mohammad Ibrahim from the civil defence says: “Today [Sept 26th] Kafr Karmin was hit with a land-to-land missile. We headed towards it about 100 meters behind us here. As soon as we got there warplanes hit us another time. We were hit with four consecutive raids.”
The interviewer then asks if anyone from the civil defence was hurt, and Mohammad Ibrahim replied: “Thank god there weren’t any casualties from the civil defence, but there was one civilian killed and others injured.”
The local time of the incident is unknown.
