As many as six civilians including a woman and an unspecified number of children were killed and at least two others were wounded in alleged Russian airstrikes against the village of Hawir al Eis in the southern suburbs of Aleppo, according to local media.
The Smart News Agency did not give an estimate of how any civilians were killed or wounded but Syrian Network for Human Rights included the estimate of six civilians killed in its report.
Both sources that reported on the incident, Smart News Agency and Syrian Network for Human Rights, identified Russian planes as the suspected source of the airstrikes.
At 0’20” in a video published by the Step News Agency, the reporter says: “We are now in the village of Huweir al Iss which Russian planes targeted with several air raids today [Sept 26th] in which several people were killed and wounded. Russia has launched a campaign on Aleppo’s southern countryside with more than 20 daily raids. The civil defence has removed the dead and tended to the wounded.”
The local time of the incident is unknown.
