Airwars assessment
Up to four civilians, including two children and a woman, were killed and several were left injured, local media reported, following aerial and artillery shelling of Kafar Zeita, Hama, carried out by either Russia or the Syrian regime.
While most sources reported that the town in the countryside of Hama had been struck by air raids, Abdel Razak also blamed artillery shelling “that hit the city this evening.”
Sources reported between three and four civilian fatalities following the incident. Both AleppoAMC’s correspondent and Abdel Razak put the toll at four. Abdel Razak reported that two of the victims were a mother and her child, who died from the injuries they inflicted by the shelling.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SN4HR), who put the death toll at “at least three”, said that two children were among the victims.
Hamah Now identified two male victims by name.
Additionally, several civilians were according to HalabTodayTV and Step News Agency left wounded.
While most sources, including AleppoAMC and Step News Agency, blamed Russia for the incident, culpability remains contested as SN4HR identified the Syrian regime as responsible.

Reports of the incident mention the town of Kafar Zita (كفر زيتا), for which the generic coordinates are: 35.374143, 36.601896. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
