At least one civilian was killed and at least two civilians were injured in alleged Russian airstrikes against the village of Ma’aret Harma in Idlib governorate on August 25, 2019.
According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, “Fadi Turki al Athab was killed as fixed- wing warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on Ma’aret Harma village in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate, on August 26.” Al Jazeera also reported that one civilian was killed.
The White Helmets reported: “Two civilians were injured when Russian warplanes targeted Maarat Harma town in Idlib countryside this morning. Our teams were there with civilians.”
Enab Baldi also published that “the “Civil Defense” added that one person was killed and two others were wounded in the town of Maarat Harmah.”
A tweet from @horryapress reported: “A martyr and three wounded in the village of Maarat Harmah.”
According to @MUHIDDINTR, “more than 15 Russian raids, most of them, and 50 shells targeted the town of Maarat Harmah in the southern countryside of Idlib today, causing civilian deaths, destruction and burning of several homes.” Images posted by @ZaitunAgency show the destruction caused by the strikes, including buildings reduced to rubble.
The location of the strikes was identified by @MasarPressNet as being “on the outskirts of the town of Maarat Harmah.”
All of the sources identified Russia as responsible or did not identify the culprit.
