Alleged Russian warplanes launched six airstrikes on the towns of Tal Al Aghar and Al Balisa, Idlib governorate, on October 5th 2019. One source, Step Agency, reported that civilians were killed and wounded.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the alleged Russian airstrikes were targeting the the jihadi organisations Hurras Al Din and Ansar Al Tahwid, east of Al Bilisa and east of Tal Al Aghar village, “about 10 kilometers southwest of Abu Al Duhur crossing in the eastern countryside of Idlib”. The SOHR furthermore reported that 9 militants were killed, including 6 Hurras Al Din members, and that 8 others were injured. It remained unclear whether the injured were civilians or militants.
