Airwars assessment
One civilian was reportedly wounded by alleged Russian airstrikes on the village of Mardikh, Idlib governorate, on November 6th 2019, according to local sources.
Two locally filmed videos showed what appeared to be multiple strikes targeting the location.
IdlibPlus reported one wounded civilian. Various other sources reported on the incident but did not identify civilian casualties.
The New York Times later geolocated the event.
All of the sources that reported on the airstrikes attributed the incident to Russian forces.
The incident occured around dusk.
Geolocation notes
The geolocation of all the three R3909 strikes captured on camera are on the actual “tell” or artificial mound just outside modern-day Tell Mardikh: 35.798652, 36.798496 (center point).
