At least one child and one woman died and up to six other civilians were wounded in an alleged artilllery shelling by YPG forces on Al Bab, according to local media.
The Shaam News Network said that “the Civil Defense Teams reported that the shelling caused the deaths of two children and the injury of five others and the burning of a civilian tent in the city.” Smart News instead reported the death of a child and the injuring of two women.
Baladi provided more detail on the event, reporting: “Majid Abu al-Leith, a civil defense informant in Bab al-Bab, said that the Syrian forces, which were based in the village of Shu’ala, fired artillery shells at around 6:30 pm. This resulted in the deaths of two children, who were burned, and injury of five further civilians, some of whom are in critical condition. He added that one of the two children, Maryam Abdul Muti al-Jassem, was completely burned”.
According to The Syrian Network for Human Rights, a girl and a woman died, while the Syrian Observatory reported that a wounded girl later died from her injuries.
The incident occured at approximately 6:30 pm local time.

Reports of the incident mention strikes in the vicinity of the Salam Al Sheikh gas station (كازية سالم الشيخ) in the city of Al Bab (الباب). The generic coordinates for the gas station are: 36.358367, 37.504531. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
