Airwars assessment
One civilian was killed and seven others were wounded by alleged Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) or YPG shelling of Al Jabal camp near the city of Jarablus, Aleppo governorate, on October 9th 2019. According to the director of the Syrian Civil Defense media office, Ibrahim Abu Al Laith, two women and a child were among the injured.
A Jesr Press correspondent reported that more than 15 shells were launched onto Al Jabal camp.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Jarabulus Military Council, which is part of the SDF, was responsible for the incident.
However, according to Suriye.u.a.d, “a civilian was killed and more than five wounded as a result of the shelling by the gangs of #PYD_YPG_PKK with missiles on the city of Jarablus east of Aleppo”.
@barispinariOP tweeted: “The PKK / PYD / SDG, the terrorist organization that occupied the east of the Euphrates in Syria, attacked civilians in Jarablus, one person was killed and seven injured.”
The media office director of the SCD added that a similar bombing targeted neighborhoods in the city of Jarablus, causing material damage to civilian homes.
The incident occured in the evening.

Reports of the incident mention the city of Al Jabal camp near Jarablus (مخيم الجبل), for which the generic coordinates are: 36.811389, 38.004167. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
