One woman, Mrs. Fatoum Ghazi Al Lour, was killed allegedly by a Syrian Democratic Forces or Syrian regime missile in Maryamin village, Afrin, in the northern part of Aleppo on January 20th 2022 according to local sources and media. Mrs. Ghazi Al Lour was travelling in a vehicle which was targeted.
Sources reported “a number” of wounded. The car allegedly held a total of five people and Zaitun Agency reported that two others in the car were injured, and Mc-Doualiya news reported that it was three. SCD reported that “the guided missile launched from areas controlled by the regime forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces, targeted a car in the village of Mreimein near Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo.” Many sources referenced that the guided missile “came from joint points between the Assad forces and the SDF milita on the Maryamin axis.”
Al Modon News also reported that the road between the cities of Azaz and Afrin at the Shatt checkpoint was also targeted, blocking the road for hours.
