On Saturday 31 December, Reaper remotely piloted aircraft from the Royal Air Force were operating over Iraq. A Reaper aircraft enabled the destruction of a Daesh mortar position which was firing on Iraqi ground troops. The Reaper’s reconnaissance enabled a coalition aircraft to successfully remove the imminent terrorist threat to the Iraqi forces.
