The victims are all from the same family and moved to a hospital in Kobane.

The killed civilians were identified as Nîzam Mihemed Fetûh aged 20, and Haci Hemed Sali who is a cousin to Nazim, age unknown.

Nazim’s two sisters Rokistan Mihemed Fetûh aged 22 and Nîroz Mihemed Fetûh aged 25, in addition to Mohamed Mahmoud Fetûh were injured in the attack.

A civilian male was reportedly killed by Turkish forces as he was crossing the M4 highway near the village of Sheikh Hassan, Raqqa governorate, on August 26th, 2020, according to local sources.

Rojava Network wrote that “a civilian named Qasim Al Khalil (48) was martyred as a result of Turkish shelling on the Sheikh Hassan village, northern countryside of Ain Issa.”

According to Rohani, civilians in the district also held Russia responsible for the death of the man, who reportedly died when crossing the M4 Highway, writing that “innocents are being targeted on the M4 road, despite Russia’s bearing the guarantee of crossing.” The source added that the man’s family “could not reach his body until late hours at night, due to the targeting of snipers”.

It remains unclear whether the victim died by shelling, as reported by Rojava Network, or sniper fire, as suggested by Rohani.

According to Alyaum TV, a civilian who was tending to his sheep was injured in Turkish shelling of the village of Malak.

Xeber 24 reported that the civilian injured was a 16 year old boy named Adel Muslim and he was transferred to Ain Issa district hospital to be treated for his wounds. At the time of the strikes, Adel was grazing his sheep near the Ain Issa camp when a shell landed near him and hit him.

All of the sources that reported on the strike attributed the shells to Turkish forces.
