Airwars assessment

Several trucks were reportedly targeted in alleged GNA or Turkish airstrikes near Ash Shwayrif, Jabal Al Gharbi, on May 11th, 2020. One civilian was injured.

Tarhouna24 wrote that Saleh Abu Ghribi, a water tanker truck driver, was injured in alleged Turkish airstrikes. “Men of Al Amamira Al Mujahida Clan” posted photos on Facebook of his severely damaged truck.

@agly1988 reported “shelling by a Turkish drone on a sheep truck loaded with sheep in the area of Ash Shwayrif.”

The Burkan Al Ghadab Operation reported that GNA spokesman Colonel Pilot Muhammad Qununu stated that the “Air Force recently targeted two trucks of fuel transportation in Ash Shwayrif, which were on their way to supply the Haftar terrorist militia in #Adwan_Ali_Tripoli.”

Tripoli 219 reported that Turkish warplanes targeted fuel tanks.

Airwars assessment

One civilian died after his car was targeted with a missile, allegedly fired by LNA or Emirati drones, in Al Qaddahiyah on May 11th, 2020, according to local sources. Four other men were also killed, they were reportedly fighters with the militia of the Amateen martyrs.

Burkan Al Ghadab Operation wrote that “Emirates drones targeted a digger in Al Qaddahiyah, and the death of citizen Imad Al Naas Mohamed Attbiqa after the targeting of his car with a missile.”

Souq Al Khamis reported the same incident but blamed “Karama drones”, or the LNA, for the attack.

Tarhouna24 reported “an airstrike targeting a site inside a farm in the Al Qaddahiyah region, leaving four dead and a number of wounded, belonging to the militia of the Amateen martyrs affiliated to Misurata.”

Tarhouna24 later identified the names of the killed militia members as Mustafa Arefah, Firas Mansour Al Buraiki, Khurais Abdullah Muhammad and another person known by the name of Hatem from Zalla.

Al Arab QA quoted the Minsitry of Interior saying: “The Bab Ben Gashir and Al Sour Road area of ​​Tripoli was bombed, killing six civilians, and wounding dozens and damage to private and public property as a result of criminal acts.”

The Field Medicine and Support Center listed three dead civilians and 12 wounded.

Mofida Aldriwi posted the names of four killed and 11 injured.

Al Wasat said: “Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Interior of the Al-Wefaq government announced the death of six citizens and the injury of dozens, as well as damage to public and private property due to the bombing of the Bab Ben Gashir area.”

Khamis Mahmoud Al Shikhi claimed one victim in fact had not died from shelling: “The wife of the artist, Mourad Akdoura, may God have mercy on her, died today due to a heart attack  and not shrapnel, as the [Muslim] Brotherhood’s media promotes.”

Some of the victims were reported near the Itthad Football Club in Bab Ben Gashir, for others the location within in area is not clear.

Al Maoukef Al Libi posted on Facebook: “Turkish occupation air forces bombard the Qasr A Hajj, which contains a gate belonging to the Directorate of Security of Alrujban and a medical team to combat the Corona virus. They are all civilians. 3 martyrs from Zintan and 6 from Alrujban in the Turkish air forces bombing the main road down the mountain.”

Tripoli 219 also reported nine victims, but said five are from Alrujban and four from Zintan.

Khamis Mahmoud Al Sheikhi said ten were killed, eight from Alrujban and two from Zintan.
