Two civilians were reportedly killed and an unknown number of other civilians were injured in alleged Turkish drone strikes on a civilian car near Mazra village, Hassakah governorate, on October 20th, 2020.

Hawar Agency reported that the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria issued a statement, stating that: “A drone belonging to the Turkish occupation army bombed today, October 20, Mazra village in Bar Av in Derik countryside, where two civilians were killed as a result of the bombing.” Baladi, among other sources, also reported an unknown number of injured civilians.

Zamal Al Wasl wrote that “the ‘Asayiş’ militia, the security arm of the ‘Democratic Union’ party, said in a statement that a Turkish army drone bombed the village of ‘Mazraat Muslim’ east of ‘Al Malikiyah’ this afternoon, killing two people, indicating that Turkish planes were flying continuously.”

According to @MasarPressNet “unidentified aircraft launched an airstrike targeting a vehicle in the vicinity of the city of Al Malikiyah in the northeastern countryside”. Other sources, such as @agency_shahed, also reported that a car was targeted. @CemalLeylan reported it was a civilian car. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights wrote that it had not yet received information about the people in the car.

A North Press Syria correspondent stated that the car was targeted in an area located between the villages of Mezra and Dirka Beravi.
