Between three and four civilians, including a woman and two to three children, were injured in alleged Russian or regime artillery shelling on Mara’yan village on June 13, 2021.

According to Macro Media Center, “a woman and her three children were injured as a result of artillery shelling by Assad’s gangs and Russian militias targeting a civilian house in Mara’an village”.

Al Araby reported on the incident, providing information that “Syrian regime forces renewed their artillery shelling this morning…injuring a woman and two children.” @mzmgr941 added that one of the children was in critical condition at the time of the reporting.

A tweet by @rahhalahmad06 named those that were injured: Malik Ateeq 44 years old, Riyad Al-Asaad 9 years old, Abdulrahman Al-Asaad 14 years old.

@SyriawatanNews reported that “a number of militants were killed and injured” but did not include further details.

Sources were conflicted between whether Russia or the regime were responsible for the artillery strikes.
