Airwars assessment
At least one civilian was killed in alleged Russian or regime shelling of the village of Tadel in the western countryside of Aleppo on July 15, 2021.
@HalabTodayTV reported that according to the Syrian Civil Defense, “a civilian was killed by artillery shelling by the regime forces and Russia targeting the village of Tadel in the western countryside of #Aleppo”.
A tweet from @Almohrar1 named the civilian killed as Firas Ibrahim Othman Abu Namar.
Al Hadath Syria reported that the shelling also caused damage to civilian property.
Sources were conflicted as to who was responsible for the shelling, with @IdlibPlus attributing the incident to the regime while @Syrian_Youth1 blamed Russia. Syrian Network for Human Rights specifically identified “the regime forces stationed in the 46th Regiment” as carrying out the “mortar shelling” on Tadel.
The incident occured at 12:00:00 local time.

Reports of the incident mention the village of Tadel (تديل), for which the generic coordinates are: 36.167733, 36.886381. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
