One civilian died and in an unspecified number more were wounded in an airstrike on the al Sukkari neighbourhood in Aleppo, according to local media. A number of sources blamed Russia, though others referred only to “warplanes”, while one source, Alburaq, reported that both “Russian and Syrian warplanes killed a civilian”.
According to Smart Russia was responsible for striking “Al-Qudes hospital in Al-Sukkari” and putting it out of service. The source said that “some civilians were wounded” in the attack.
Syria News Desk – also blaming Russia – provided some more detail. It reported: “One civilian was killed and others wounded when Russian planes targeted al Sukkari neighbourhood in the west of Aleppo city. Those wounded were transferred to hospital and the raid resulted in widespread destruction in the neighbourhood, according to the activist [Abu Mohammad al Halabi].”
