(Previous Incident Code: R2276)

A ballistic missile landed on the village of Barissa in the Idlib countryside, injuring six civilians, according to sources on the ground. Reports were conflicted as to whether the missile was fired by Russia or the Assad regime.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that this was part of a series of explosions in Idlib Governorate on September 9th.

Multiple sources indicated that this was a ‘land to land’ missile, and both Smart News and RFS News alleged that it was fired from a Russian battleship in the Mediterranean sea.

Jisir TV reported that the missile landed in an agricultural area which did not result in any injuries, while Masar Press blamed forces loyal to the Syrian regime for the attack.
