Six civilians were killed – including four children – and as many as five more were injured when long-range-missiles from a Russian ship struck the vicinity of Deir Sharqi, according to local media. All sources blamed the Russian warship for the raids, expect Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and Syrian Network for Human Rights who both blamed Syrian regime missiles.

The raids, which occurred around midnight, “targeted” a monastery and also damaged parts of al Banat School. According to the Syrian Observatory there was damage to the school building, including its furniture.

The wounded were – according to local media – seriously ill. Images show a man whose leg hangs by a thread. Smart News Agency added that a man had his leg amputated and another broke his arm in the raid.
