Two civilians were reported killed, and three others injured, in airstrikes on Ma`arat Horma, Idlib, on August 17th, 2019.

Syria Civil Defense stated that “one man was martyred and three others were injured as a result of an airstrike targeting Maarat Horma town in the southern countryside of Idlib.” A video posted by SCD shows White Helmets removing the man killed from the rubble of the building.

Smart News also reported, “one dead and many wounded by the bombing of Russian warplanes on the village of Ma`aret Horma in Idlib.”

The Syrian Human Rights Committee named one of the civilians killed as Qusai Nizar al-Qashto. A Facebook post by Ibrahim Ismail named Muhammad Radwan Al-Hussein as another civilian killed.

Images posted by @Kyruer show the dust and smoke cloud over the town following the airstrike.

Sources variously attributed the attack to Russian forces and/or the Syrian regime.
