Airwars assessment

Between one and six civilians died in either an airstrike on artillery bombardment on Haydariya, according to local sources – though it was unclear from reports whether Russia or the Syrian regime was responsible.

Reporting on the deaths of civilians in Aleppo from “Russian aircraft and Assad’s helicopters“, the Shaam News Network said that “shelling and the raids led to the death of six civilians and a number of wounded, most of them in Haydariya“.

According to @zakarianassani, “a squadron of Russian aircraft waged attacks with rockets and cluster bombs on the Haydariya neighborhood”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that two civilians died in a “bombardment by regime forces”.

Qasioun blamed “regime artillery”, while @radioalkul was among other sources attributing the incident to shelling by regime forces.

Many other sources reported shelling by both artillery and warplanes on the neighborhood, though they did not identify the culprit.

The local time of the incident is unknown.
