Notes

The Minister Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Defense, Steven Vandeput, decided to extend the Belgian commitment to the fight against IS in 2017. Belgium will use 4 F-16s from 1 July to 31 December, supported by 110 soldiers (some twenty-one of them). A Red Card Holder Team consisting of 4 people will operate from Qatar. The orders of aircraft as part of the Coalition will remain unchanged. Only the number of flight hours decreases from 400 to 250 per month. The cost of the extension of this operation amounts to 17 million euros.
