Sunday 13 November – Typhoons bombed an anti-aircraft gun in Syria, while Tornados and a Reaper struck four targets near Mosul…On Sunday 13 November, Typhoons again operated north of Raqqa and were able to destroy an anti-aircraft gun near Thulth Khunayz. Some miles to the north-east of Mosul, Tornados used a Paveway IV to collapse a tunnel system, while closer to the city, a Hellfire from a Reaper destroyed a large weapon mounted on the rear of a lorry. The Reaper then used a GBU-12 laser guided bomb to attack successfully both a buried weapons cache and a nearby terrorist vehicle.

On Nov. 12, Coalition military forces conducted 16 strikes against ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq. In Syria, Coalition military forces conducted nine strikes using attack, fighter, bomber, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets. Additionally in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted seven strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets.



Syria

* Near Ar Raqqah, two strikes engaged two ISIL tactical units and destroyed a fighting position and a vehicle.

* Near Ayn Isa, three strikes destroyed two mortar systems and a vehicle.

* Near Dayr Az Zawr, three strikes destroyed 15 oil tanker trucks and five oil well heads.

* Near Idlib, one strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit.

Iraq

* Near Mosul, five strikes {1-2 British] engaged three ISIL tactical units; destroyed four mortar systems, four ISIL-held buildings, a VBIED, a weapons cache and a fighting position; and damaged a vehicle.

* Near Rawah, one strike destroyed a bunker.

* Near Tal Afar, one strike destroyed an IED production facility.

Saturday 12 November – A Reaper attacked three terrorist groups near Mosul, including a mortar team…A Reaper maintained surveillance around Mosul on Saturday 12 November. As well as supporting a coalition air strike that eliminated a recoilless anti-tank gun team, our aircraft used three Hellfire missiles against a mortar and two groups of terrorists engaged in combat with Iraqi troops.

On Nov. 11, Coalition military forces conducted 23 strikes against ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq. In Syria, Coalition military forces conducted 14 strikes using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets. Additionally in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted nine strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using attack, bomber, fighter, rotary and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets.



Syria



* Near Abu Kamal, two strikes destroyed six oil well heads.

* Near Ayn Isa, 10 strikes engaged five ISIL tactical units; destroyed two fighting positions, two vehicles, and a rocket system; and damaged a supply route.

* Near Manbij, two strikes engaged two ISIL tactical units and destroyed three fighting positions, a heavy weapons system, and a vehicle.

Iraq

* Near Haditha, one strike engaged an ISIL weapons cache.

* Near Mosul, five strikes [1 British] engaged three ISIL tactical units and destroyed five mortar systems, four vehicles, two tunnel entrances, two heavy machine guns, a VBIED, a weapons cache, and a fighting position.

* Near Tal Afar, three strikes engaged an ISIL tactical unit and an ISIL headquarters building and destroyed a VBIED.

Friday 11 November – Typhoons destroyed an armoured vehicle in Syria, Tornados demolished a Daesh strongpoint south of Mosul…A pair of Typhoons patrolled over Syria on Friday 11 November, supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces north of Raqqa. Another coalition aircraft was able to identify a Daesh armoured vehicle well concealed under trees, and was able to direct the Typhoon onto the target, which was duly destroyed with a Paveway IV. Meanwhile, south of Mosul, Tornados used another Paveway IV to demolish a terrorist strongpoint on the banks of the Tigris.

On Nov. 10, Coalition military forces conducted 24 strikes against ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq. In Syria, Coalition military forces conducted 14 strikes using attack, bomber, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets. Additionally in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted 10 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft and rocket artillery against ISIL targets.

Syria

* Near Ar Raqqah, one strike destroyed three ISIL oil production machines and an oil storage tank.

* Near Ayn Isa, 11 strikes engaged five ISIL tactical units; and destroyed three fighting positions, two vehicles, a command and control node, a storage facility, a heavy weapons system, a bulldozer; and damaged three supply routes and a tunnel system.

* Near Manbij, one strike destroyed an ISIL vehicle, a heavy machine gun, and a fighting position.

* Near Palmyra, one strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed a fighting position.



Iraq

* Near Al Huwayjah, one strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed two vehicles.

* Near Baghdad, one strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit.

* Near Mosul, seven strikes [2-3 British] engaged six ISIL tactical units and a staging area; destroyed six mortar systems, three vehicles, two weapons caches, an artillery system; and damaged a mortar system.

* Near Rawah, one strike destroyed an ISIL storage container.

Thursday 10 November – Tornados, Typhoons and a Reaper attacked four terrorist positions in support of operations to liberate Mosul…

The primary focus for Royal Air Force aircraft, flying as part of the coalition air campaign against Daesh, has continued to be support to the Iraqi operation to liberate Mosul. Missions have however also been flown to assist the Syrian Democratic Forces advancing towards Raqqa.

On Thursday 10 November, a Reaper provided overwatch to Iraqi troops engaged in street fighting at Abasi in northern Iraq. Its crew used Hellfire missiles against two groups of terrorists, including a light machine-gun team. In Mosul itself, a mortar was spotted in an area of heavily wooded parkland. It was destroyed by a Paveway IV guided bomb from a Typhoon flight. North of the city, Tornados used a Brimstone missile to kill several terrorists as they manoeuvred along a street.
