Friday 6 May – Tornados and Typhoons interdicted the movement of ammunition on the Euphrates, as well as striking mortars and heavy machine-guns around Mosul and Fallujah…On Friday 6 May, Daesh terrorists were spotted unloading rockets and mortar projectiles from a number of small boats and a barge on the Euphrates in Anbar province. A Tornado reconnaissance patrol, armed with Brimstone missiles, was first on the scene and prevented the initial load of weapons from being driven away, hitting the terrorists’ truck with a Brimstone while they were still loading it. A Paveway-armed flight of Typhoons then arrived and used its bombs to destroy the weapons on the shore, and sink the barge. The same Typhoon flight also attacked a mortar position south-west of Fallujah. A second Tornado flight destroyed two heavy machine-gun positions on the north bank of the Euphrates, downstream from the recently liberated town of Hit. In northern Iraq, Typhoons struck another mortar, north-west of Mosul.

Reports 15 strikes in Iraq: 13 ground support strikes and 2 planned strikes on 29 and 30 April, in the Al Qaim area against a center for manufacturing improvised explosive devices and suicide vehicles.

Reports that “Dutch F-16s bombed several targets in the fight against ISIS”, including Close Air Support (CAS) missions to support ground troops flown in northern Iraq in the provinces of Erbil, and Kirkuk Ninawah. Additionally, airstrikes were undertaken on predetermined targets, aimed at destroying the logistical capacity of Daesh. They add that since March 2016 the Coalition has successful bombed over 30 Daesh headquarters, and that there were 40 attacks on 24 financial institutions.

Reports 2 strikes – partnered with Coalition aircraft – on a major logistics site of Daesh in Al Qaim, Iraq: On April 29, around 21:30, four Rafale left the Arabo-Persian Gulf to join four Mirage 2000D from the deployed air base in Jordan. French aircraft, mostly equipped with cruise missile SCALP (long range autonomous conventional cruise system), were joined in the Iraqi skies by several fighters and US bombers (F15 and B52) to hit the targets that were set for them. On 30 April, the following night, another French-American system, consisting of two Rafale M2000D four and eight US aircraft, again hit the same logistics site of the terrorist organization.

Reports 18 strikes from 20-26 April: 13 ground support strikes – 6 strikes in the areas of Mosul and Sinjar and 7 strikes in along the Euphrates valley; 5 planned strikes – 3 strikes in the Abu Kamal area, Syria and 2 strikes in Iraq, one in the Al Qaim area and the second, a joint strike, in Fallujah, during the night of Sunday 24 to Monday 25 April, destroying important Daesh infrastructure.

Reports 3 strikes between 21-22 April: 2 in the Abu Kamal region of Syria and 1 in the Al Qaim region of Iraq

It is part of the strategy of weakening Daech, by systematically destroying its military means but also logistics.”
